WMRC Senior Expo*May 16, 2008 Dean College, Franklin, MA. WMRC-First Class Radio in association with the Franklin Council on Aging is hosting the Senior Expo. The event features live entertainment, refreshments, health and wellness screenings, dancing demonstrations, a fashion show and more. The Balsams Wine Pairing Vintners Weekend*May 16-18, 2008 The Balsams, Dixville Notch, NH. This is our second time doing this event. We have been lobbying the Balsams to include NY Wines on their wine list and they have finally agreed to do so. This weekend will feature New York Wines and they will be represented by the president of Finger Lakes Wine Country. There is a social hour on Friday where we get to meet the participants and sample cheese and wine, and then a more formal presentation on Saturday. This national Women's Health Week event will include blood pressure/weight screenings, answers to health questions, medical resources handouts, children's activities and raffles/free giveaways. A free Farm Day Celebration featuring hayrides, music, baby animals, plant sale and fun farm activities and demonstrations for all ages. Wine in the Woods*May 17 & 18, 2008 Symphony Woods, Columbia, MD. The most "tasteful" outdoor party in Maryland! The Newport Spring Boat Show attracts many 35-65ft. power yachts and sailboats to its in-water display area and similar numbers of 16-35ft. boats on land. NPR Services offers one-hour public tours of the studio every Thursday morning at 11 a.m. Cabot is a proud sponsor of Hidden Kitchens on NPR and will provide cheese, literature and special coupons for a monthly post-tour reception. Theatre reception with sampling. Paws & Patriots Walk*May 31, 2008 Veterans Park, Birmingham, AL. This walk with pets is raising money for a memorial for veterans. Aids Walk Boston*June 1, 2008 Hatch Shell, Boston, MA. Whole Foods is the exclusive sponsor of the Aids Walk and we are partnering with them in the Whole Foods tent area. We will be sampling cheese and handing out literature. Our logo and link will be included on the Aids Action Committee website. Atlanta Wine School Classes*June-September 2008 Atlanta Wine School, Atlanta, GA. Cabot donates cheeses and materials to the AWS in return for recognition as the "Official Cheddar of the AWS" which is promoted at all AWS events and on their website. Round House Theatre's Nixon's Nixon*June 2, 2008 Round House Theatre, Bethseda, MD. Cheese reception includes sampling, couponing and banner display as part of season long sponsorship. Ag Fair Day*June 5, 2008 Newbury Elementary School, Newbury, VT. The kids in K-6 hold an ag day at their school to learn more about their food and where it comes from. We were approached by the librarian to participate in the fair. We couldn't supply a body but have plenty of educational materials to share. The Howard Center Big Night*June 5, 2008 Dudley Davis Center, Burlington, VT. Annual auction for the Howard Center in Burlington. This year we were able to score an autographed picture from Grace Potter and the Nocturnals for the auction in addition to our regular support. |
