DIABETES
Can I Have Cheese if I Have Diabetes?

Low-fat cheese can be a great replacement for other high-fat, high carbohydrate foods. If you have diabetes you should concentrate on lowering your intake of carbohydrates and fats in your diet. Replacing foods that are lower in carbohydrates will help your blood sugars from rising out of control.

Cabot light cheeses are very low in carbohydrates (less than 1gram). Our 50% Light Cheddar contains half the amount of fat than regular cheddar and only has 70 calories per serving.

Our 75% Light Cheddar only contains 2.5 grams of fat and 60 calories per serving.
All of Cabot's low-fat cheddar contains the same amount of calcium, vitamins and minerals as full fat cheese.
